WatMan: A Tool for Creating a Water Management Simulation

John T. Murphy

The WatMan toolkit uses the FlowAg toolkit to implement a full ABCM model of an irrigation-based water system. It extends FlowAg; while FlowAg uses only a small part of the ABCM framework to define objects that can be used to make a model of a canal system, WatMan fully implements these objects into a working ABCM model framework. Whereas FlowAg objects can be used merely by creating instances of a Code Model, Parameter Set, and Random Number Generator, the WatMan framework creates a fully usable ABCM system that can be linked to a database and interface in the way that the ABCM framework permits.
